I know you think you understood what I said, but I'm not sure you realise that what I said is not what I meant.
Re: Northolt Nightshoot XVIa
Cheers for the update Lee, without tempting fate the long range forecast says clear and slightly warmer!

Re: Northolt Nightshoot XVIa
I want a t-shirt with Northolt Nightshoot XVIa on it!
Good news that a new date has been quickly found.
I can only imagine the spin Phil is in...
I might suggest Mr Rustler ties some lead weights to Phil's feet to slow him down and put a cup of tea in his hand!!!
It is definitely appreciated the effort by the Nightshoot team and the RAF Northolt team that have helped to rearrange this event so quickly. Many thanks to all involved.

Ian,
He hasn't calmed down since having his picture taken with Carol Vorderman on Tuesday night...

I would just like to add my gratitude to Phil and all the others involved in the Northolt Night Shoot. Having to reschedule it must be a right pain, and quite a lot of extra hassle. Thank you all for taking the time to do it, it really is appreciated.

Was possibly fortunate, even if a pain, to be postponed, if Northolt's had the fog I've had here in Glos, (and seemingly Brize and Mildenhall too), I'm fairly sure there would have been some cancellations due to that !!
Looking forward to CLEAR SKIES on the 27th

sounding good already!
Re: Northolt Nightshoot XVIa
Phil,
12(B) Squadron have now got a Tornado GR4 painted up with a special tail for their disbandment, due out of the paint shop tomorrow. If this could be persuaded down to Northolt for the nightshoot it would be a major coup, as the tail won't be around for too long it seems.

Not unless arrestor gear is installed between now and then.

I think you'll find that like 617 Sqn, 12 are pretty much down to the bare-bones in terms of manpower. We did ask about a 617 special for the original event.
