That's a shame, I know some good lads there through work and the hobby.
I don't know everything there is to know about our hobby.

Kids, aviation, missus then responsibilities, (in that order)

The saddest thing is, no matter how silly it sounds, we were a close family of 100+ people, and thats one big family!! And its all gone for now, all because of the owners/management filling their pockets rather than actually running the business!!!

the crazy thing as I see it is that the demand for what they do seems to be increasing.

The two un-named owners :loser: ... Had no idea on how to run a business. Sad though, as there was so much potential!

It's unfortunate for the 12 Apprentices at Southend (including myself) who have six weeks to find a new employer to continue the apprenticeship scheme, if not, our apprenticeship is stopped.

Sad to see this happen as a Lasham gliding member. I do not know about Southend but the summer has seen very few inbound movements at Lasham? The only regulars are the DHL 757's, the rest is made up of aircraft off lease most of which have moved on. Lets hope some good can come of this.
