Had a visit today 25th March in glorious sunshine, with a close friend.
A wonderful experience all round.
Many thanks to the staff for their continued hard work, and today, especially to Nigel for his time and patience in making 2 people extremely happy!

Thank you for the kind words, which I will ensure are passed on.

Glad that you had a good visit - was the 'Nigel experience' by any chance Draken related?

Nigel's particularly proud of the Draken and the Phantom Sim - he was pivotal in getting permission for the museum's Draken to be flown into RAF Scampton and for highlighting the availability of the Phantom Sim at RAF Wattisham.

A couple of news items have been added to the museum website – one is another access alert for this coming weekend and the second is something that might affect aircraft modellers.

Tomorrow sees the start of the major Shackleton repainting project at the museum and first up is the installation of the scaffolding around the whole aircraft. This will obviously limit the photographic opportunities for this aircraft for the duration of the project; the aircraft will also not have any internal access either.

Progress on the project will be recorded in this gallery on the museum website http://www.newarkairmuseum.org/WR977_Repaint

The museum is participating in the BBC Big Day Out campaign, which provides free admission to a host of tourist attractions in the county. Further information in here N.B. you’ll need the print-out if you want to gain the free admission offer with us.

On Sunday we will have several aircraft / cockpits open – small donation is requested to access each one; all proceeds going towards the new Café & Toilet facility. There is also some traffic advice to be aware of for Sunday – details in here!

My dad's just told me he visited you the other week and enjoyed himself very much. He's extremely picky and difficult to please when it comes to museums so I congratulate you!
