I do think the Typhoon is a good looking aircraft with the two seater best, and with squdron bars/markings thought it very photogenic,Oh well. I don't think the Rafale is even as pretty as the Typhoon or M2000, but from last week at Duxford the marked example was very tasty, and Dynamic!

Two seat Typhoons are complete dogs

Single seat Rafales are far more attractive than Typhoons, Dassault have always had a good hand since the Mirage family.

Whilst I am certainly no expert in aircraft design, for me the design of the EAP is very clumsy especially that hideous fin. Typhoon, whilst not overly pretty, looks 'right' to me and it certainly flies right!

There's aspects of the Rafale that I find more easy on the eye (particularly the forward section design with intakes is pretty slick) but I don't like the proportions of the main wing and the canards feel too far back.
I don't know why but I hate the main gear on the Rafale, almost as bad as the F-111 main gear!

But then they did make the alpha jet, which looks like a mouse

Although maybe dornier ruined it

Attractive aircraft design peaked with the English Electric Lightning. There's been a good few purdy planes since but nothing quite hits the spot for me like a frightening does.

I've always thought that the Typhoon is not the most attractive of the Euro-canards, and that Rafale is typically French with its curvaceousness. EAP, despite its boxy intakes, is aesthetically more pleasing to the eye than Typhoon also.

I remember the EAP test pilot (Dave Eagles, maybe?) saying at the time that it was a shame that they were only making one and not 800. I've always wondered how good a fighter it would have made had it been fitted with Blue Vixen, modern avionics and a decent air-to-air weapons fit. Bearing in mind how ling it took for the Typhoon to get into service, it could have been a good stop gap, and could have done reasonably well in the export market.

Ah well, rose tinted glasses...

Definitely the EAP is a much nicer plane than the two-seat Typhoon.

Nah, attractive aircraft design peaked with the Mk.II Spitfire.
