The commentators at Shuttleworth yesterday suggested that by the end of the year there could be a second B-17 airworthy and based in the UK. This was the first I'd heard of it. Pink Lady is mothballed at La Ferte, so presumably this would be a flyer imported from the States?
Anybody know more on this?

Same here. One of the American airworthy examples heading for this side of the pond perhaps as you suggest, there are some good ones to chose from!

Pink Lady has been bought out of storage and started up a few times in the last 2 years as well as doing short taxi runs apparently.

Are you sure about that? I know there was talk of it a few months back, but I've not seen any evidence that it actually happened. There's no mention of it on Scott Thompson's site, and he keeps pretty close tabs on B-17 happenings worldwide.

According to these articles anyway. Few forums posted about it too.

Is it not beyond the realms of possibility that following the success of CWHM's Lanc visit, and the popularity of its pax flights, allied to the apparent boom in the high value warbird pax flights (i.e. The two seat Spitfire revolution), that people are considering that bomber pax flights could also be a long term earner?
