It was Filton, it flew under RR's FTB Vulcan XA903 from there in the early 70's. The only Vulcan to fire a gun!

Filton is most closely associated with the RB199, although (from Wiki):

The model number of many Rolls Royce jet engines start with the initials RB (e.g. RB199) which stands for Rolls Barnoldswick, as Rolls Royce aero's design centre was situated in Barnoldswick

Surprised to see the old RAF Sealand on the list. I don't recall ever seeing anything flying out of there.

no low level visits at all, which is surprising given the GR4 role

You can go through the cad without stressing the airframe, dunmail is straight on from windermere.

i know, i know, but we will miss the old girl and i'd camp out for 2 days to see her in LFA 7 or 17 again one last time.

Wasnt Sealand involved with the Radars for them?

Bah, didn't expect it to be on the list, but still sad to see NI left off the tour completely. Seems to be the norm when it comes to retirement.

I couldn't say, all I remember about Sealand was (when we use to go to visit my Auntie at the old Rhosneigr army camp on Anglesey) was going over the bridge that would make your stomach churn and the gate guards. Then at some point the gate guards being removed.

Various parts for both Tornado variants F3 and GR1/ GR4 were serviced at Sealand, hence the new gate guardian gifted to them and the flypast on the 19th.

Seeing as they're only going over Leuchars, Lossie and Tain in Scotland I wonder which routing they will take going Northbound and Southbound?

Waiting to see the routing ( because the order listed on the link makes no sense ) for the Wednesday section.
Cardiff --> St Athan --> Pembrey ( or the reverse ) should hopefully see it flying over my location.
If it doesn't, I won't be rushing over to Cdf/St.A just to see a single-aircraft flypast.

It's not a single aircraft, the Marham station commander has confirmed it's a 3 ship on the three day tour. With the 9 ship happening on the 28th at Marham & Cranwell

That's all I was told by a reliable source last night. I would imagine if you contacted the Tornado Heritage Centre (with the F3) at Hawarden, they should be able to tell you more

Thinking of watching the farewell flypast at Boscombe Down next Wednesday, anybody know what the access is like there/best place to view on the day?
It's not an airfield I'm overly familiar with....

Thanks guys.
