Interesting Internet
Re: Interesting Internet
The other plane may be a Nasa B-57 they normally are up filming the launch?

AF2 was C-32A 99-0003, supported by escape jet C-37A 99-0402 and C-17A 03-3125.
I think both the C-32 and C-37 originally went to Orlando before repositioning after the first scheduled launch time?

Re: Interesting Internet
The B-57 was showing as N927NA , spent most of the time lurking around FL450, there was also a NASA-callsign bizjet around.
The unknown AC was showing on the tracking sites as being in close proximity to AF2 all the way down.

This Turkish F-16 demo at SIAF is pretty special IMO! In particular 0:38 - 0:48 and 06:46 - 07:00

Re: Interesting Internet
I had to google that scheme to check it's an actual Buccaneer paint job - turns out it is, and was worn by that very jet, XX900 - I like it.

Indeed, 2 received variations of the scheme in 1977 for the Nellis Red Flag exercises. A Vulcan did too!

I think it looks bloody dreadful, but if it's accurate I can't really say anything! Much better than some of the schemes aircraft in other countries seem to end up with.

Not as charismatic as the Hind, not as different as the SuperCobra - hopefully they will have a different paint scheme and look a bit different to the other apaches in Europe.

Re: Interesting Internet
You can see what they are trying to do, but honestly it looks a mess! A camo one in high viz markings, as they entered service with badges of all units to operate them on the tail, (TTTE included) would have looked much better I believe.Georgeconna wrote: ↑Fri 09 Sep 2022, 9:03 amNice Italian AF Tornado

Re: Interesting Internet
Nope, still a mess.
Its 40 years of service with the Italian Air Force, so the prototype has no relevance at all, and the yellow bit in the middle looks like someone sneezed over it.

Re: Interesting Internet
Italy's specials recently have all looked a bit...odd. It's like they're designing by committee and ending up with stuff like this, should be four distinct specials but they've stuck it all on one.
