BA112 record crossing!

Flight Radar 24 have tracked British Airways BA112 flying from New York to Heathrow in 4hrs 56mins (normal flight time 6hrs 13mins) the tailwind caused by storm Ciara sets a new subsonic record

Incredible. Looking at flight radar now there's some scooting over at 630 knots ground speed with a Martinair 747 currently doing 677 knots!

Loved the excited references on the video to a 'touch and go', I always thought a touch and go landing was a planned manoeuvre, pretty sure that was not what the BA pilot was planning at that moment...
