Hi,
sorry for the shameless plug, and apologies if this is in the wrong area.
In 2010/2011 i visited China on a round robin tourist thing, you know...great wall, terracotta army etc.
Saw lots of retired fighters in college grounds, or schools, heard the Chinese Xian H-6's taking off from their base near the Terracotta Army, although never say any in flight.
anyway, i managed to get a Taxi from Beijing to Datangshan to visit the Military Aviation museum there. The taxi waited for me for 90 mins and took me back to the hotel.
Back in the day i posted quite a few photographs here, but i have just found some video if any of you are interested?
There are 11 short files that will give you an idea of what the museum is and some of the exotic items there.
This is the link to file 11, and just follow your nose from there. lol..........
There are 10,other files there including Tridents in Chinese colours, flying boats, Chinese back engineered B-29's, etc
Plus the chinese mosquito in the tunnel, along with the chinook , huey, and quite a few F-5's too.
hope you find it of interest.
Cheers
dave
