A few home videos from down under

Post by Wbirdnut »

I have created a bit of kit where I can shoot video while I take stills. Bit of plumbing
pipe with the video and still camera mounted via a screw, the blue foam is a shield
so I can see the screen in the sunshine.

The set up is a bit Heath Robinson so sometimes the footage is a bit average,
I concentrate on the stills, hit record and hope for the best, a lot of editing.

A few from home and elsewhere and some rc planes as well.

RAAF Hercs visit a fair bit doing touch and goes for training.

Have only seen RAAF Spartans visit on three occasions.

Medical evacuations are performed by the New South Wales Air
Ambulance Service.

the Empire boats that flew to the UK pre WW II.

Beaver across the Tasman in 2019.

For many years concentrated on video rather that stills,
here's a few oldies I recently converted to digital.

Harvard ferry across the Tasman Sea from NZ to OZ around 2003?

Zero replica doing the same as above around the same time,
she is an ex Tora, Tora, Tora machine.

Like the Zero above sold from the South Island of New Zealand's
Alpine Fighter Collection, went to OZ for many years now back in
New Zealand.

Can't remember exactly when the Historic Aircraft Restoration
organisation over flew their Constellation some time in the 2000's?

Again can't date these two DH Devon and Dove, please excuse the
average commentary!

Thanks for all these links, I'm more a stills fan than video but great to see some different bits and pieces.

Beautiful Staggerwing restored in New Zealand, spent many years in Australia
now back in New Zealand where there will soon be four of the type airworthy.
