P&V Monday alternatives

Post by farnboroughrob »

Hi for one reason or another I had not got my Monday P&V tickets and now they show as sold out and join wait list. Never been a issue previously, can't believe it. Are there likely to be tickets on the day like there used to be?
So what are the alternatives? I am not a photographer just collect numbers so as long as I can see the runway its no issue. Do any of the campsites allow day parking on Monday? Is there anywhere to park within walking distance of runway 27?
thanks
Rob

I had this in 2018, walked straight in on the day.

You could just take a punt on the day (I’m quite sure that East or even West will allow), or maybe see if Totterdown is open? You can’t see the runway well from there but it’s something at least.

Can't see why there won't be tickets on the Monday, pretty sure we paid on the Monday in 2019 as we didn't get tickets then.

I haven’t got mine yet, surprised it has sold out already.😬

Happened last time as well, but I managed to get a ticket on the gate.

Totterdown is open on the Monday for P&V but I wouldn't bother. I'm usually packing up and anything departing is pretty distant.

Question regarding departures, what time does it begin? I’m thinking of cycling up from Swindon! Oh and how much is it on the day?

It now seems to be mostly 9-2, used to start around 8.

back to my original post is that tickets are available on the gate on Monday, however I am now going on Friday.

Thank for that info! And I understand, but what is the cost of tickets on the day? I can't seem to see it on the side as they're sold out!

Good question, I would guess in the £25-£30 range based on previous years.
