Was this damage included in the De-Fence budget?

As a side note. It was 8 years to the day that it last landed at Manchester

Wups.
I'm always amazed when people stand behind an aircraft taking off. Not only do you get all the jet blast directly at you, but you actually miss out on hearing the engine roar.

Much better standing further to the side where you get the noise without spending the next hour picking grit (or fences) out of your face.

Some fantastic air to air filming of AN225 in the video from yesterday. 4 minutes in.

Superb footage.

The cockpit looked a busy old place on the rollout, more reminiscent of a railway signal box with all those levers pushed and pulled.

Great info/vids here — gutted I didn’t see this till the next day, as I’m only an hour away :-(
How can we find out when the next UK visit might be?
I found a list of 2020 flights at https://russianplanes.net/reginfo/40656
and 2016 flights from https://www.flightradar24.com/blog/anto ... ember-2016

I compiled this list of seven UK visits from several websites, but apparently there have been 11 according to https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... or-UK.html — anyone know when the other four were?
17 Feb 2010? Doncaster
24 June 2013 Manchester
13 June 2014 East Midlands
12 Nov 2015 Doncaster
30 Aug 2018 Brize Norton
2 Aug 2020 Prestwick
24 June 2021 Brize Norton

But most importantly, when might the next be?!
Thanks, Dave.

East Midlands - Dec 03, 2005
East Midlands - Oct 12, 2006
Prestwick - Jun 23, 2007
Prestwick - Jul 04, 2007
Prestwick - Jul 09, 2007
Brize Norton - Oct 28, 2007
Prestwick - Nov 03, 2007
East Midlands - Nov 05, 2007
Prestwick - Dec 17, 2007
East Midlands - Oct 26, 2009

Re the Doncaster visit in November 2015 it actually arrived on the 11th and night stopped then departed on the morning of the 12th, I posted pics from both days on here somewhere at the time. It did a nice fly through 'for the fans' as the pilot put it when it arrived!

Thanks for the updates everyone.
Does anyone know a better way to find out when she'll next be in the UK than typing the reg into FR24 every day?

Not the answer you are looking for, but I have setup an alert in FR24 so I at least know when she wakes up.

Thanks melcragg, that may well be exactly what I'm looking for - having never considered an FR subscription before, I hadn't noticed that alerts exist, so that alone might be worth paying for. So will it ping you next time one of her flights appears on FR, or how does it work?

I got a notification to say it was en-route to the UK from Pakistan. I think I paid for the FR24 upgrade years ago as a one off payment.

Good point - I do follow him, but I don't check the internet often enough!
I wonder if his surname is coincidence, or whether he's related to Oleg Antonov, founder of the Antonov OKB.
Apparently Antonov(a) is the 455th most common surname in Ukraine where Dmytro seems to be from, and 70th most common in Russia where Oleg was from and where Antonov was founded.
