Two more coming from my direction!

Will be my first night shoot so will be a huge learning curve for me and not expecting terrific results but will be a lot of fun.

It is not as difficult as you may think, stick the camera on F8 and ISO 100 using a remote shutter release and away you go. That is what I did on my first and was very pleased with the results.

For those of you attending the 'Night Flight' event that have never been to North Weald Airfield or especially on a Saturday the directions to the event are as follows:

Enter the airfield through the 'Main gate' on Merlin Way,
Turn Left,
Follow the peri-track, through the Saturday Market (the largest outdoor market in the UK),
Cross over the end of the Run-way, the Peri-track now turns to the right,
Then straight with a sharp left turn at the end,
On the left is Hangar 7 and Car parking.

The event will take place on Hangar 6 Apron, see you there :yahoo:

The Pay gate will be open from 17:30.

By late afternoon it will be the remains of the market, knee-deep in discarded boxes and packaging. Do please drive carefully as there is a lot of debris around and also a small army of people trying to clean it all up!

No, with small number's you need to charge more to make decent revenue otherwise the event is not going to raise enough cash.

No thats the going rate for a nightshoot. I don't know how they are lighting this one, but if it's like the one I had dealings with earlier this year the hire of the lights is no small expense. I shall be down again, looking forward to it.

Yes that not cheap either! There is a lot of work goes in to running a nightshoot thats for certain! The line up looks good though so turn up and support it. Btw for those arriving early is the squadron still available for food?

Hello to all;

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who support and understand the cost's involved in running the 'Flight Night' event at Weald Aviation on Saturday 29th. The entry price cover's not only Fuel & Lighting but Insurance, ground crew and the pilot's time to run and prepare the aircraft also.

These events are a rare oppotunity to get close to such aircraft that you would normally not get the chance too, they are exclusive and highly enjoyable events for Enthusiasts, groud-crew and pilots to meet and great one-another. :yahoo:

Payment is on the gate and there will be an opportunity for two enthusiasts to be involved with the show, all will be revealed on the night!!

We will be joined by a further 3 aircraft for the aforesaid event, they are as follows:

Messerschmitt ME-108
Chipmunk
Bulldog

We also welcome Clive Denny's support for this great event and we look forward to seeing you ALL there. :ghost:

Unfortunately due to logistical reasons the T20 is unable to attend our much awaited FLIGHT NIGHT this coming Sat evening. Thankfully with the aircraft that have confirmed to be attending we'll still have a great collection of A/C for you all to see!!! Counting down the days....... :yahoo:

Can all you guys n girls planning to attend our 'FLIGHT NIGHT' this weekend give us a heads up so that we can ensure that we cater for all you needs!!!!!

We look forward to seeing you all there. :ghost:

I can understand an aircraft/helicopter with a propeller/rotor turning at a night shoot for a bit of prop blur, but what is the purpose of having a jet engine running at night?. It's not as if you can photograph compressor blur.
