I've seen some lovely photos of the show before, might be tempted to attend this year. Are there any static displays?

This is a great airshow been a regular last five years. Noticed that Little Gransden is listed on the Blenheim's website but not yet on the show's official. Hope this happens!

Oh and in my opinion this is THE place to see the Vulcan. The small venue makes the sheer power and size of the great bomber come to life!

I've just been having a look through last year's thread on the show as I was looking at coming along this year. Could it be a sell out due to the 'Vulcan effect' . . . . or should that be just 'Vulcan effect'?

from their FB page, posted yesterday evening:

Despite the ticket page currently saying we have availability we are now sold out of VIP tickets. please do not buy any as any bought from tonight onwards may have to be refunded as we only have so much bone china to go around!
Availability on other tickets is just under 50% left at the moment.

I bought standard tickets ages ago but the VIP package looks rather good, might do that next year and treat the wife a bit although photographing the arrivals might be a bit difficult. Would be nice to do it in a bit of style!

Hope to see more added - all looking rather familiar at the moment and the Vulcan appearance is looking like the biggest draw.

Would be nice to see the Huey from North Weald to change it up a bit - don't recall a single helo display at any of the LG shows I've attended previously off the top of my head.

from their FB page today:

So, less than 500 online tickets left, who's gonna get them ?!?!?!? if you don't and get them from a shop please be polite and patient with the shopkeepers, they do this as a favour and without their goodwill we just don't have the resources to send out tickets by post,,,,,,,,(and you save a £1 by buying them in a shop!)

be quick if you want one, and don't say you weren't told

from their FB page this morning:

Less than 150 online tickets left. Once these are sold there will be a limited supply in the shops and a very limited supply on the gate. We are governed to a maximum number of visitors by insurance and H&S regulations, once we reach that number we will have to refuse further entries. Sorry we don't make the rules but we do have to play by them!

How many "on the gate" tickets are there? Would like to go Saturday but its a bit of a treck for me. Wouldn't want to go and not get in.

Saturday would be a waste of time as the show is on Sunday. :)
