Any particular reason as to why?

Personally I think the airport pulled the plug but that's my own opinion on it

Weird Decision wonder what the reason is? Was looking forward to both days. Still deciding about the Saturday.

Well, if that's the case, is it worth staying for Sunday? I will however check out the Friday evening event if possible.

I thought they were going to extend the flying to Sunday this year?

Disappointed to see the Sunday getting canned. I really enjoyed it last year, and I thought it was good counterpoint to the Saturday event. If the 'American Warbirds' are included on the bill on Saturday as well then I will probably make this a one day thing. A bit of a shame really.

Friday is out for me. Trying to get into Ayr after rush hour just to get photos into the low sun, and then get back again early next morning.

Nah it's Saturday only for me

It's going to be a bit of a tight for time situation for me regarding Friday. I will be in Prestwick on Friday afternoon, but having booked a dinner for the Friday at the hotel for 6pm, it may just mean I'll miss a considerable chunk of the Friday evening fun! ( I should infact refer to bringing my Mrs with me too, she loved it so much last year that she went snap happy with my camera!)

As much as it's looking disappointing the Friday evening displays aren't too bad Blades,American warbirds and having watched videos of Aerosparx they look nteresting

Better scratch the King Air display team off the list. A shame that.

I'm keen to see the Aerosparx display, it looks interesting, and if done at dusk should look pretty decent!

The photos I've seen definitely make the display look intriguing. Not sure I can justify canning a day at work though. If anything I'm looking forward more to the Arbroath day in a couple of weeks.

Still relatively early days. I enjoyed the first Ayr show in 2014 without the benefit of staying over for the statics (though I missed both Lancs, regrettably) and if the weather is right it will still be an enjoyable day on the Saturday.

One of the FB pages for Ayr/PIK was hinting at getting the Chinook off the back of Portrush, as of this morning.

Worth noting that the previous "Scottish Airshow" FB page is now a fans page and is not run by the airshow organisers.

Surely there is time enough to throw in more surprises, or are they almost fully booked?

Since we now have the skips here, a visit to PIK from a skip would be nice, see if it changes my mind!
