Anyone else having trouble ordering tickets online? The page won’t load for me.

Just looked at buying 2 tickets, online charging model. £1.50 per ticket booking fee and a further £6.50 transaction fee!! That, in real money, is a rip off! Basically an extra £9.50 on the face value. Therefore 2 advance tickets is a mere £2.50 cheaper than rocking up at the gate. Perhaps phoning for tickets is cheaper? I suspect that will add a bit as well given it’s an 087 number which charges an access plus a service charge per minute?

Is this really the only option open to Dunsfold?

I know one thing, See Tickets can do one!

That might explain the influx of ticket sales we've had at work in the last week then, people opting not to be stung with those extra 'charges'.

Think I'll give it a miss this year. Pretty much the same line up as in previous years, but no Typhoon.

There will be a flypast each day in tribute to John Farley and Ducan Simpson by BHHH Hurricane flown by Peter Teichman.

The Bronco and the Pitts did a nice arrival and the Strikey has just arrived. B-17 also safely arrived.

Back garden is a mile from the threshold and bang in line with it but I'm only back for the weekend  :-D

Wings and Wheels (Saturday) was good. It would have been better with the Typhoon or something similar, but I'm pleased with the show. I really enjoyed the VC-10 engine run!!

A really enjoyable day after not really feeling that bothered about it. I had forgotten what a lovely venue Dunsfold is for an airshow especially when the weather was as good as today.

No Whirlwind and it's also been removed from their website which is a great shame as thats what persuaded me to buy a ticket.

I'll second that, very good day. Little bit chilly earlier on, but it soon warmed up (just!). As said, the Sea Fury display was brilliant (from TFC instead of RNHF), never seen a re-engined one before so was a change. MiG 15 put on a decent display with the addition of strafing runs with pyros, whilst the Vampires put on their usual tight display. A touching tribute as well from Peter Teichman in the BHHH Hurricane to the late Duncan Simpson and John Farley.
Getting in and out was a doddle, but I did leave during the Red Arrows as I needed to get to work.
Anyone know what happened to the Whirlwind?

Lastly, thanks to Melvyn and Brendan for the entertaining commentary, really makes a difference to the show

TFC don't have a Sea Fury any more, they sold it.

Wasn't aware that they'd sold it. Who owns it now out of curiosity?

Did anything fly on sunday. Weather on the south coast (not that far from Dunsfold) was rain or heavy rain with low clouds all day.
What a pity for the organisers .

FWIW really enjoyed Saturday - great location, sun in a good position for photographs and some tasty displays. Sea Fury, Vampires and Mig 15 were highlights for me along with the Turbulents balloon popping and flour bombing - what a contrast

And the Blades.....fair play to all those who put on a show on Sunday in the conditions.
Thoroughly enjoyed Saturday - that Sea Fury is a beast.

Traffic management seemed to work pretty well on Saturday. As expected, there was a significant exodus after the Red Arrows; after watching the Strikemaster and Blades I probably only dithered around for another 30 mins or so before leaving, and was able to drive straight out of the car park onto clear roads. I don't know whether it was scheduled like that intentionally, to spread out the traffic, but if so it was quite effective. Maybe my memory has exaggerated things, but I seem to remember queuing for an hour to get out a few years ago.
