I attended last year however this year does appear to be a bigger event.
Last year there weren't any traders you'd see at airshows normally, I believe the Air Ambulance had a stall. A few others here and there but not loads.
The Gnats were the only item scheduled to fly and indeed they did, launched and then returned for a couple of missed approaches. They didnt display. A Jet Provest also provided a number of missed approaches. And the Gnat F-1 did a couple of taxi runs. Most of the hangars were closed or at least didnt want people in there however I throughly enjoyed it.

They’ve made announcements about the stalls and exhibitors at the show.

I would imagine if Jetfest is not a corporate sponsored event (?) then the pitch prices could potentially be more attractive to stall holders

Looking forward to the weekend as I have never been before.
What is the lay out of the event?
Where will we be parked?

Guess you'll be entering the 'wet t-shirt' contest then, as the whole weekend looks like a wash -out!

Saturday looks fine according to the Met Office, Sunday less so but it could go either way.
Looking forward to seeing the Delfins flying!

Heading down tomorrow.
Not really sure what to expect.
In a way I would have preferred if this was a smaller - but pure jet - affair. Time will tell if the event grows into something more exciting over the coming years. Here's hoping!

Sorry fella - I think one of them's gone tech although DLFN should be airbourne.
NOTE - the Puma arrival is now reported as being 0900 tomorrow (originally 1000).

From what I saw earlier, the jets will be parked on the disused runway. I believe the grass between the disused runway and Wings Cafe will be house the lighter types (Austers, Chipmunks etc) and the main showground area is located on the grass between the disused and The Squadron flying club. I don’t know where car parking will be, but I would guess in the south west corner, on the grass/hardstands between the main runway and the peri track.

Cheers for the info, fingers crossed for DLFN then. As the saying goes any L-29 in the sky is worth two on static. Plus it sounds like the Fresco will see daylight and there'll be more JP's and Gnats than you can shake a stick at so what's not to like!

G-DLFN hasn't left Leeds East for North Weald today as far as I know (not heard it anyway, and trust me I normally would!) and runway 06/24 is now closed for a music festival until Monday

Drat! Unfortunately that becomes a showstopper for me, the justification for a 540 mile round trip was Soviet era jets in the air plus other nice things but this tips the balance.
If anyone wants a free all weekend ticket PM me and I'll ping it over later when I can, first come first served. Having a snack at Gretna services at the moment, should be home in two hours. Have a great time at the event anyone who makes it

Puma arrival time now 0955L.
Re: Jet Fest - North Weald 27-29 September 2019
The Puma has arrived. Fair number of people so far but, Puma aside, little different to last year except the layout for the parking.
Just a word of warning: The Squadron cafe is open only to AeroLegends ticket holders so you need to lug yourself to the Wings Cafe if you want anything to eat or drink.

No sign of the Jaguar?

Not much sign of anything really!! I can imagine the rather keen wind is playing havoc with the light stuff - Bullfest consists of 2, Chipfest 0...

That's a shame. I was thinking of heading down there tomorrow but looking at the weather forecast I'll be giving it a miss.

Think it’s just another event that’s been tarnished by the rubbish weather we’ve had this year. Was quite excited about seeing the mass gatherings but it’s a shame
Re: Jet Fest - North Weald 27-29 September 2019
I was thinking of going but looking at the on the gate prices of £25 last night, I thought it was steep price-wise for what was not a flying display with mainly home based aircraft. I could have got an advanced ticket last night for £15, but with the weather uncertainty, I thought was still pushing it a bit. Unfortunately the event is getting a bit of a panning on the Facebook page.
