Such a great shame. This has been, for me, one of the most enjoyable airshows in the calendar each season.

Sadly Melun, Goodwood, Sanicole and the Quax fly-in are all on the same weekend.

Decisions, decisions...

Indeed Mike, even with fewer shows these days, the amount of clashes is crazy.

To be fair those five events are spread between four countries, and Goodwood is barely an aviation event any more. I think the crossover in people in a conundrum over which event(s) to attend is probably a fairly small group of oddballs  So I doubt the clashes have much effect on most people or the events!

True. Apart, of course, from the aforementioned group of small oddballs.

It is a shame to see another airshow disappear.

Did hear a mention of a large housing development in the surrounding area.

Mmm, yes that wouldn't surprise me.... Obviously a lot more money involved in that than renting out the fields for a few days each year... Shame  Having said that tho' if theres an 'overfly' concern after they're built why couldn't it just stay as a military/re-enactment event?

Purely that the organisers only ever planned to run it until 2020 with a goal of 15 shows.

And its relevance to Cosby show? Perhaps the Scampton thread.

It's been confirmed by the organisers that this year's show will be postponed until next year. Phew!

Get it in the diary - Friday 3rd - Sunday 5th September 2021.
