A minor, easily changed, point I guess, but the website says "Friday's exclusive preview day showcases the highlights of the weekend." So they might wanna change that if they book many more acts that are Friday only. I'm not complaining, the Sunday show looks fab and that, frankly, is what matters to me
Agreed

Anyone notice the wording? ‘our first USAF aircraft for the flying display’ maybe that’s a sign there’s more to come!
Anyone notice the wording "We're still in discussions with other USAF units about their planned participation, with more aircraft to be announced in the coming weeks to join the already strong line-up of American Airpower at RIAT 2022."?
Of course, but that could mean static. I was mostly focusing on the flying remark as there's been a lot of discussions of will there/won't there.

With the Osprey demo we can't say the USAF won't provide a flying display this year.
Was hoping for the Netherlands air force to send over the C-130, Chinook and Apache. Hopefully the army air corps send an apache for static.
With the Saturday over-booked we might not get any more flying displays?

Hopefully further military acts wouldn’t be turned down just to avoid a few moaners who aren’t there both main show days…?
Just because Saturday is nearly full, doesn't mean everything as been announced! & I'm most certain if the Turkish said 'Okay to send a Tomb for the flying' very late in the day DBH would go above and beyond to try and be able to fit it in.

Yes, we're all capable of reading. (I hope)

I'm going for a mass JP update - y'know, for the training theme and all that...
Well they snuck one in to today's update at least!

Overall fairly disappointing week with the cancellations and replacements.
Well, if the next three updates contains a Canadian CP-140, French Navy Rafales, an Indian C-17, a Japanese C-130, a Qatar C-17, something from Thailand, Turkish AF F-4's and KC-135, Turkish Army T129, some more USAF stuff static and flying, a US Army CH-47, UH-60 and Apache, US Navy F/A-18E's on static and a F flying, then this week is not so disappointing anymore

Nice shout but my guess is a French Hawkeye, Turkish Stars, Indian Tejas, Japanese C2, U2 and B1 from the USAF and a static USN Growler. Oh, forgot the Leeming Hawk.

Is that U2 the band in place of Alexandra this year, as the USAF U-2 is already on the list?

There's a few errors on the RIAT website so I hope someone from DBH will see this post:
-RAF typhoon "in the spotlight page" is missing what days it is flying, instead having double static
-USAF Osprey "in the spotlight page" is missing what dates it will be at the show
-Finnish Army Aviation should be as listed as not participating
-The Rolls-Royce Heritage Flight Spitfire is listed as Static, and "in the spotlight page" it says is will only be at the show on the Friday, suggesting a static only appearance on the Friday.

Not in the flying display yet ! although seeing Bono fly the Fairford skies would be something new.

I'm sure he'd push his display right to The Edge...

One would say it would be a Beautiful Day, The Sweetest Thing to see like a Bullet in the Sky that can give you Vertigo. Not Bad. I'd want him to Stay with his Mysterious Ways because he's Magnificent.

There's a few errors on the RIAT website so I hope someone from DBH will see this post:
-RAF typhoon "in the spotlight page" is missing what days it is flying, instead having double static
clearly listed as flying and static examples on the confirmed aircraft list
-USAF Osprey "in the spotlight page" is missing what dates it will be at the show
-Sat and Sun at least one would presume, otherwise they'd have said today
-Finnish Army Aviation should be as listed as not participating
- been removed from the confirmed list and moved to cancellations
-The Rolls-Royce Heritage Flight Spitfire is listed as Static, and "in the spotlight page" it says is will only be at the show on the Friday, suggesting a static only appearance on the Friday.
-today's update clearly states it'll be flying on the Friday but not at the weekend
I feel like they're pretty minor grumbles from you to be honest - extremely small website errors when comms this year has been excellent throughout.

What was more interesting was the 'New' marker against the Reds.

Yeah, they've been updated from x9 Hawk T.1 to the x7 that they are this year...

If you haven't already, I suggest you get a Sunday ticket because all the people that will be gutted to miss out on Saturday will now flock for the remaining day!

Not sure what I think of that one, like the black & green combination....but not keen on the tail design particularly. May change my view on seeing it 'in person' I guess. I think the USAF carried off the 'Viper' theme on their jet more effectively.

At least it looks from that like they intend to continue the display for at least 3 seasons, which I wasn't sure if they would.

Nothing really on the interview tonight we didn't know.

Sold out on Saturday expected to be announced within 24 hours
Flying display could be extended over 8 hours
Saturday and Sunday are going to be identical.

The identical on both days might be a good explination why no French jets, since they have commitments on at least one day elsewhere in France and therefore to keep the flying display identical we got a team that could commit to both days?

Not saying thats what happened, but seems logical.
