Heard back. It would be possible to enter the parking at 5AM. Not something we'd encourage widely but you can park up already and get some extra sleep, wake up at 7 or so and proceed slowly to the entrance to be first at the security check. Bear in mind there's no enormous rush like at RIAT to get to the first row for take-offs and landings as we will hardly have any. When it opens at 8, it is always a relaxed affair. The rush to get out in the evening, that's an entirely different matter.

Thanks very much for your help on this. I hadn't considered the fact there's no rush in the morning but will be good to get just a couple hours sleep as I'm driving back after the show. From what your saying I'm assuming getting away can be a nightmare?

If you are planning to head for Calais/Dunkirk on the Sunday, best advice is to book a crossing well after 9pm (European Time) if you plan to stay to the very end of the show on Sunday. It does take time to negiotate the car parks/roadworks (Ham has been a buiding site for the last two/three years)/other local events (at least one local village always has its own festival on Sanicole weekend which causes further diversions) and the routes to the motorways.

Thanks for that. I have a 22.30 European time train to get on so hopefully will make it!!!

Am I right in thinking there are only 2 more updates left for the show? Going by the grid, there are only 2 spaces left...

Over the past weeks, we announced 41 participants for our 40th anniversary airshow. We hope you like the programme for our International Sanicole Anniversary edition. There will probably be a few more announcements over the next weeks completing our line-up. We look forward to welcoming you in September! This weekend, the website will be updated with information about the acts for the Sunset Airshow and the Sunday full show.

We round off this series of announcements with the contribution of the Italian air force, the Frecce Tricolori making a welcome return. (Sunday)

This year's show is going to be absolutely ridiculous, best show in Europe for participants this year? It'll be a close run thing with RIAT

How about a UKAR meet up as most of us seem to be going?
I'm stopping in Beringen so we could find a bar ..............

It could also be a chance to let Johnny Foreigner (Mr Juncker) know that English will continue to be the language of the free world whatever he thinks

Sorry, I'm afraid not. There will be a feature length report online and on DVD afterwards, but details about that will be released at the end of August.

For anyone planning to travel by plane to visit the show, Brussels Airlines offers a special Sanicole discount. More information here:
Brussels Airlines & Sanicole

Nearby holiday parcs are also offering special deals for Sanicole visitors, unfortunately the page is not available in English but if Google Translate fails, you can give me a shout and I'll try to assist.

If you go to the book in tab at the bottom of the first page it takes you to an English version - great idea.

Ha, missed that one completely, though it makes good commercial sense of course :) Intro page I could only find in Dutch.
