Brussels Airlines is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2017 and is sending the Magritte of the “Belgian icons” Airbus 320s to join the flying display of the 40th anniversary of the International Sanicole Airshow.

After the announcement of something unique I expected something more special than an airliner.
Just like last year a B1 would be sick but can't have everything!

Surely, to satify the likes of CJS, ChrisG et al, we should be asking whether it will be at Scampton?

The return of the French air force, more noise! Rafale solo display  We can start dreaming how great this livery will look in the sunset sky. Flying Friday & Sunday.

If I had to guess, I'd say 16:00 on Friday and 7:00 on Sunday, but will confirm when I have the answer.

All booked for a great weekend, the show looks absolutely awesome this year!! Already looking forward to it :yahoo:

@Chrisse: Is there a way I can see on the website which acts are flying the sunset show and/or the Sunday show? I can't seem to find that info.

The "division" will be published in about a week after the current series of announcements. Acts only flying on Friday are the Red Arrows and Typhoon of course. Should be about 14 programme items in total for the sunset airshow.

Meanwhile we continue with a double-bill from our Dutch friends: The RNlAF Historic Flight with their Spitfire and B-25 for the Sunday flying display!

Nice! Bit of a break from the jet noise. I've been going to Sanicole for near on 10 years and this line up blows everything else out of the water.

5AM, I wouldn't expect to get on as it will still be dark. The parking is on the firing range on the opposite side of the road. Before you know it, you'd end up in a ditch in the dark. I would suggest finding a parking nearby, maybe near a gas station along a highway and pushing on closer to the opening time. Don't use the parking of any of the nearby bars as they're more daddy's hobby type of venues

No Sanicole Airshow without aerobatics! Making his continental Europe debut is Rich Goodwin with his Power Pitts S-2S.

Heard back. It would be possible to enter the parking at 5AM. Not something we'd encourage widely but you can park up already and get some extra sleep, wake up at 7 or so and proceed slowly to the entrance to be first at the security check. Bear in mind there's no enormous rush like at RIAT to get to the first row for take-offs and landings as we will hardly have any. When it opens at 8, it is always a relaxed affair. The rush to get out in the evening, that's an entirely different matter.
