Aeroclub Sanicole is located between Leopoldsburg and Hechtel-Eksel in Belgium. After helping out at the Belgian Air Force Days 2018, the team is back in 2019 to bring a mix exciting civilian and military displays.

I went to Sanicole 2017 and for me it was such a great experience!!
Friendly people, cheap beer, cheap accommodation, 3 days of aviation for £40, a great line up, the best fillet steak i've ever had and that Rafale display on the Friday evening in awful weather will stay with me forever!!!
No real downside to any of it and I cannot wait to return this year. :yahoo:

The Rafale destroyed the place, I don't think it even properly appeared as it was cloaked in vapour the whole time. Shout out the Frecce too for flying in such dismal conditions, in fact the whole evening/weekend was top entertainment as usual, made all the better by the Reds and RAF Typhoon cancelling..

Great first addition, and for some reason I've always thought the Pat Suisse look at their best at Sanicole... that venue just suits them down to a tee.
Posting comments on an aviation-related chatroom, are ya? Looks like it an' all...

This is good! I've always enjoyed the team on the handful of occasions I've seen them.

Evening all. Me and my 13 year old son are interested in attending an overseas air Show and was wondering if we can get there by Eurostar. We live right next to London City airport but trains are our first love although we could fly back as long as I'm allowed diazepam.

Regards

It is certainly doable by train, but you'll want to position yourself closer to the show as it is quite a distance (certainly in time, if not kilometers) from Brussels.
With Eurostar, you'd arrive at Brussels Midi.
The station you'd have to get to is called Leopoldsburg, shuttlebuses run from there to the show. Hasselt would be an obvious choice for lodging as that has a direct train connection to Leopoldsburg, though you could look at different options in the region and make your way by bus. I doubt you'll find any lodging in Leopoldsburg anymore at this stage.

Bus services: www.delijn.be (Stop you want is Leopoldsburg Station)

Thank you Chrisse. I suppose going for one heading back the same night. We travel on the Caledonian sleeper a lot so we would be use to that.

Many thanks that's a start
