No Luchtmachtdagen 2021

Post by aviodromefriend »

Had an email this morning from the main organiser:

Luchtmachtdagen 2021 will be postponed until further notice. Instead a number of small events will take place BUT these will be recruiting tool only, not big public events. An official statement is due in a few days.
A weather forecast is a forecast and just that

I have a feeling that this signals the decline of the big public airshows. I think the UK is likely to follow this format with fewer and fewer big shows.

We did that a long time ago. It was called the 1990s, most died shortly after the Gulf War.

Totally - 1 and 1/2 big shows in the UK these day by my counting!
