A shame no sign of the Vampires/MiG-15 this year. Anybody know of any rumoured additions? Looking a little weak on the Friday!

Only additional items not listed here would be the Autogyro and Bronco added around mid June.

Organisers are keeping quiet on the paticipants front, with some of the known ones here not officially announced.

Havent heard any rumours, but then most seaside shows are booking the same items these days. Just needs that unique item to push it beyond those similar.

For me it just needs another fast jet. Unfortunately I can't make Thursday so it's Friday only... would be great to see the MiG and Vampires, but, realistically, there's not a lot out there that might attend. Perhaps a Gnat?

Looks like they also have a flypast from an RAF Airbus A400M on the Thursday.

You've written Typhoon twice!

Also was that a deliberate singular on Vampire or are we getting the pair?

I can only make Friday so will miss the Typhoon unfortunately - but should be a nice day out with the family if the weather's ok. Always nice to see a Vampire, the Bronco and BBMF - and a good Strikemaster display can be very enjoyable.

I didn't type the list - just ripped it straight off the organisers website!

Hopefully the weather will be better than last year, actually being able to see a plane flying past would be good!

Indeed 2016 wasnt great... There Twitter post states Norwegian Vampires with a picture of the pair, so guessing it will be both.

Anyone else usually head down to the airfield after the show? Some intersting GA types down there over the 2 days. The Islander last year was certainly a new one for me to see operate out of there. Any chance of the GWDT using it too?

I'm guessing the GWDT will operate from the Clacton airfield. I wonder where the Chinook will come from?

Military stuff is usually at Southend isn't it? Vampires, Mustang and Strikemaster will all be using North Weald.

Indeed it was 2016 - just looked at kept 6 photos from that one, and even those were poor...

I'll be down on Thursday (as long as my boss OK's the day off!!), probably down the end of the pier.

Any idea if it's the Vampire Pair or a solo?. Programme has a picture of both but only states one Vampire.
