We have a music thread and a books thread, I figured I'd ask what UKAR are watching (or re-watching) on the box?
Couple of shows I have got into in the past few months:
Suits (kind of a pre-requisite for a law student ) Breaking Bad Game of Thrones Newsroom (somewhat unheard of but it is just fantastic) Bluestone 42 I'm re-watching all of Blackadder right now and I also found season 1 of Airwolf on DVD for the sum of £2 so I'm getting back into that.
A few others I can't think of right now but those are the ones I'm trying to stay up to date with at the moment.
Nothing really , TV-wise ( I don't do Sky & most terrestrial TV is garbage ) On the DVD front , though....... Both series of 'Game of Thrones' ( understandable why they don't , but I wish they followed the books more ) Only just finished watching a back-to-back-fest of both series of 'Hell on Wheels' ( much better than 'Deadwood' & nice to see proper period caplock pistols used , not to mention them sounding like they should ) Oh , and the sex-and-gore-fest that is 'Spartacus' !!
All I'm waiting for now is the DVD release of the last series of 'The Walking Dead' to get my fix of blood , snot & gore !!
Edited to say : Nearly forgot......been after it for years & now I've finally got it.......the DVD box-set of the '80s television series 'ANZACs' !! ( Still as good as I remembered it )
Nothing. I do watch TV but this year the only thing I've seen is the boxed set of the Wire I was given for Christmas. Started it in March and finished it on Sunday. It's difficult to put words to how much I enjoyed it.
We're pretty diverse and watch a lot of Telly today its been.. Bargain hunt BBC1-Ascot racing C4 -Neighbours C5 -Father Brown BBC2 -The One show BBC1(second half)-Animal heroes ITV -The Route masters BBC2...ooh and,I'll say it softly...wife likes Doctors BBC1 but thats almost a step too far! life shouldnt be too serious and its not for us tellywise either...and now for me its an hour of Mark Radcliffe Radio2
Just started watching 'The Americans' on ITV, looks like it has a lot of potential to be a good series and gives many an insight into the 'Cold War' from the Red side. Apart from that my viewing consists mostly of HBO shows. House of Lies was an excellent piece as is the Newsroom.
I've been watching Hannibal on Living TV. It hasn't really reached the heights I thought it would based on what some people were saying about it. Other than that I tend to watch Pointless quite a lot, and also The Big Bang Theory.
Big Bang Theory Criminal Minds The Simpsons Dexter (New and final series starts in the US on 30th June , hope it's better than series 7 which lost the plot ) Not going out Mock of the Week Russell Howard's Good News Question time The Apprentice Bluestone 42 (Was very good, glad BBC 3 have done the right thing and picked it up for a second series) The Walking Dead
Also will delve into some classics on DVD
Alias The West Wing The Shield The X files Six Feet Under Millennium (First two season before it went crap in the final season) 24
Out of the ones mentioned so far I'd go with The Wire, The Americans, The Walking Dead, The Sopranos, Mad Men, and Dexter. Sadly, all too often I get into a show which subsequently goes on to Sky, and then I'm stuffed! Another one that I like that I don't think has been mentioned is True Blood. Oh, and The White Queen that has only just started. Based on the latter stages of the Wars of the Roses. So far looks reasonably accurate historically speaking.

Watch less and less TV at the moment and more stuff on DVD etc, working my way through the Westwing at the moment, some of the episodes are way ahead of their time (gun control for example) and the acting is top notch, 2 more episodes tonight. Then thinking about revisiting Hill Street Blues
