What are UKARians watching on TV?
Re: What are UKARians watching on TV?
Just finished watching the final episode of "Danger UXB" on the Talking Pictures channel.
To me it perfectly captured the drama, danger and comradeship associated with the Bomb Disposal teams in WW2.
A some one who has worked with the modern equivilent people ie. EOD Teams, I could appreciate the tensions etc. that were shown in the series.

Has anyone watched the 3 part remake of Van Der Valk?
Re: What are UKARians watching on TV?
Yes; if you like Endeavour, Lewis, George Gently etc you would like it. Music is unrecognisable though.

I have seen the first 3 hours of Gangs of London. Pretty tough and gory. Think I will see it through.

Thanks.
Not actually watched any of those others, but I'll give it a go. Unrecognizable music? No Eye Level? - Always thought the original Van der Valk had one of the best themes for a tv programme.
Re: What are UKARians watching on TV?
Eye Level is just about spottable in the theme - but listen hard.
Make sure you watch 1 then 2 then 3 though. Basically good Sunday night detective series - hope they make series 2.

Yes indeed. Really enjoyed all 3 of those. Roll on series 3. I'd like to go and have a meal in the REN Eiland too https://www.remeiland.com/ where the end of the 3rd episode was filmed...Interesting history of the structure too.

Lots and lots of repeats, trying hard to stay away from those "we are all in this together" sickening adds, and deffo try not to watch the comedies they call "the news".

Series 3 of The A Word
With just the slightest bit of finesse, I might have made a little less mess.

Just caught the end of a programme on ITV3, The Nation's Favourite Carpenters Song.
Maybe not to everyone's musical taste, but what a voice Karen had.

The best thing on TV for ages has been Charlie Brooker's Viral Wipe. Brilliant.

I find myself watching very little TV these days. During the lockdown, Charlie Brooker (spot on Derek) and Afterlife 2 have been the rare highlights.

I'll have to keep an eye for that one being repeated. As you say Karen had a wonderful voice, and tbh one of my favourite singers.

Ive just finished the Long Road home, a series about a US calvary unit and the siege of Sadir City back in 2004 during the Iraq war. Certainly quite eye opening thats for sure.
