Am still to finish Away, which is seemingly about the first crewed mission to Mars but it's a bit like a family drama. Having said that I do want to find out what happens!

Just about to finish watching a BBC drama series from about 1976 called Survivors ,which not surprisingly, is about the fate of various people who survived a pandemic resulting from a spilt beaker in a Chinese lab ! sound familiar ? a bit hit and miss but enjoyable anyway !
Don't know about those jets ,they spoil a very nice place

The boys season 2 has been great, good twists and turns all the way through, and definitely more gore than the first.

A TV series of The Right Stuff? I will be watching this. The film was terrific so big moon boots to fill.

I'm watching "Singapore Grip" at the moment. Prior to (and after release) it was condemned for racist and pro-colonialist representations.

However, to me, it's coming over as a total, negative, characterisation of the English stiff upper lip (and general stupidity) in the face of adversity.
There are the ineffective and indecisive military who are totally blind to the threat.
Upper class English twits with over the top affected accents
Devious Chinese princess.

It's also a little Wodehousian in it's humour (but is it meant to be funny?) and if you enjoyed Blandings you might find humour in it.

As for "Singapore Grip" look it up, might make you smile!

It's not a Marmite programme (love it /hate it) but can't be taken at face value.

The first episode spitting image was great.

Cummings is an alien who wants to eat bozos child.

Trumps arse writes his tweets,

Priti Patel is a Dominatrix vampire

Raab is a karate master who is incompetent

Gove and bozo are bumbling idiots.. So no change there.

Pretty good first episode

I enjoyed the first episode of the 'new' Spitting Image too.

Good to have it back after so many years, but a shame that it's stuck away on Britbox instead of ITV.

Just watched the first episode of the new season of Top Gear.

I've not laughed so much at a TV show for quite a while, it's certainly a welcome distraction from all the rubbish at the moment.

Top gear was absolutely Hilarious last night. I thoroughly enjoyed it and so many funny moments. I did wonder why paddy chose the macron stadium.. I said to my wife. You watch one of them will stay at the hotel. I was right.

I used to drive karts at 3 sisters in my youth.. Race.. Nah I was never that competetive. I know that circuit quite well. And it's very tight in places. So Freddie found out. Had to be him didn't it.

Two on Ch.5. The first a series about walking the roads of Roman Britain, the second about Lawrence of Arabia.

Us, on the iPlayer - Tom Hollander is a fabulous actor

Last in the serial "Singapore Grip" last night which I enjoyed.

The scene with the Japanese troops bayoneting patients in the hospital (which happened) will have done wonders for the Japanese/UK trade deal!

Into the 3rd season of the a word. A touching drama about a family who's lives are changed when they find out that their son, Joe is on the autistic spectrum. Chris Ecclestone kind of steals the show . Althought the third series isnt as good to be honest but its approapriate as Julies eldest Grandson is on the autistic spectrum. Having said that, hes made massive improvements and is now doing a chef course at the same college I did.

I havent seen the series Us yet but I have worked with Tom Hollander in something years ago and found him a Gentleman, very quiet and extremely funny.

Just raced through both series of The Boys on amazon, great fun. The new version of Utopia was pretty good but had none of the sense of dread and horror of the original. The role of Jessica Hyde was seriously miscast as well.

Not something I've been watching, more listening to, Peter Bleksley and his hunt for suspected double murderer Kevin Parle, very interesting listen on BBC Sounds Podcast Manhunt Kevin Parle and a couple of Jaackmaates podcast.

Truth Seekers on Amazon Prime was an excellent little series, only 8 half hour episodes.

Good luck with that!

I'm half way through Normal People on the iPlayer. It's a bit slow but I think I'll stick it out.

Berlin:1945 on BBC 4. Archive film of the city in '45. If you like the Bernie Gunther books by Philip Kerr, you'll lap this one up.

The Liberator on Netflix is well worth watching. A sort of animated Band of Brothers I guess.
