It's as if, I don't know, he doesn't have a clue what he's doing or something.

I mean obviously that's not the case, so it must be something else...

Oh, wait...

You emphasised the wrong bit, though.....
and the baby is essentially a citizen of the United States

So he's right -- because if they pop their sprog out in any of the other Countries you listed, then it ain't a US citizen.

I read that as 'big wig'...

He probably congratulates himself on lots of things though. :joystick: :joystick:

Considering the 'big win', he doesn't exactly sound very upbeat, does he......still, it's all the media's fault, apparently.

Still waiting to see if he declares war on Canada or Mexico

Edited to add.....
Got to be the most amusing press conference I've ever heard -- and I think Trump's declared war on the press in general & CNN in particular

Oh he's fired the Attorney General. Classic diversion tactics from a night where he didn't "win". He's very good at setting the news agendas when things don't suit him.

Is it some sort of death wish that he wants not to be President anymore? Was Nixon the last President to fire an attorney general whose department was investigating him? I4

Well, in the press conference he did say there were going to be some changes

From what I recall, though, Sessions may have brought it on himself by copping out of leading the investigation without telling Trump beforehand.
The interesting thing will be what happens next & who he appoints.

CNN ( and various other news outlets ) are no doubt loving this, following Trump's pillorying of them today.
That said, the inquiry so far has a stench of witch-hunting & scapegoating which is on occasions akin to McCarthyism.

It's no 'witch hunt' if there's an actual witch. Mueller is apparently one of the straightest arrows in public service in the USA so we will wait and see what he comes up with.

If there's McCarthyism it's from Trump. Calling the press "enemies of the people" is exactly the "reds under the bed" mentality that damaged America's reputation for free speech, freedom of belief etc.

A British minister has appeared to join growing criticism of US President Donald Trump's decision to miss a memorial event on Saturday due to rain.

Defence Minister Tobias Ellwood took an apparent swipe at the president on Twitter, saying "rain did not prevent our brave heroes from doing their job".

Mr Trump is in France to commemorate the centenary of World War One's end.

He cancelled a visit to a US military cemetery, but the White House said other senior officials went instead.

It said the bad weather grounded the presidential helicopter and cited security concerns in hastily arranging a motorcade for the two-hour drive east of Paris.

Shouldn't any mention of the orange Donald be either in the "Angry" Thread or under the title "What made you laugh today?"

Colonel Sanders would do a better job than the half-witted orange Russian puppet currently in the job. And he’s been dead 39 years.

[quote="Burleysway"]Trump on track for landslide win in 2020, according to multiple economic models that have consistently predicted presidential winners.

As soon as Trump declared he was going to run for POTUS I said to my Mrs "If he gets the nomination he'll win the election and if he does that he'll get re-elected for a second term". She nearly cracked a rib laughing at my stupid statement but so far it's all on course to come true.

I've had quite a good run of predicting these things: I said the Tories would win the election in 2015 when it looked unlikely and all the official outlets were saying no chance; I said Trump would get elected (albeit he did it by the 'back door' of the electoral college system, Hillary had more votes) and I predicted Leave would win the referendum when, again, all the pollsters said no chance. We have a £10 bet between ourselves - I just wish I'd put that £30 on an accumulator at the bookies!

Trump: "No Collusion, No Obstruction, Complete and Total EXONERATION."

The actual report: "While this report does not conclude that the president committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him."

In summary - he's still an idiot.

It becomes almost more interesting now, because if there was no collusion, why is Trump so pally with Putin?

Mueller chickened out by not having the cojones to flat-out say what he meant instead of making insinuations & leaving it up to the Attorney General to interpret.
