As i said before, i really dont do concerts and can only remember going to 3 in the past, A-ha when i was a teen, Deacon Blue in my 20s and the 2 days of Rewind a couple of years ago.

Obviously Rewind was the best so far, but the Procaimers on Saturday night were brilliant.

Then last night i have to say the spell has been cast and i will be looking to get to more concerts as Madness were out of this world! Add in that they were supported by The Fratellis made for one of the best experiences in my life. Dundee needs to get their finger oot though!

Geoff - get yourself along to Beat Generator for some of the tribute bands. I've seen Who's Next and The Complete Stone Roses there this year, and would have seen more if I was in country. I also saw Voodoo Room - a Cream/Clapton/Hendrix tribute - in Kinross, and a Pink Floyd tribute in Perth Hall. All great nights out!

Lynyrd Skynyd in June at Birmingham. I first saw them at Knebworth in 1976 and just cannot miss their farewell tour. Fly high Freebird.

I've never heard of Bonfest until now! We're big ACDC fans. Unfortunately Bon was long gone before I was old enough to see them. Did however see them with Brian singing, and whilst Malcolm was still fit and well, tragic that he's now gone. We've seen the Livewire tribute a few times, I'd highly recommend them. They've got Bonfest on their tour dates.

I've reached an age where gigging is no more than a once or twice a year event but I have tickets for Nick Cave in Birmingham in May so nothing else matters.
