It's been announced the B-21 will be rolled out the first week in December so it rules out an appearance at Edwards unfortunately. Also a reasonably reliable source suggests no F-117 either. C'est la vie.

The Mig-29 doesn't seem to be on their website anymore... Ominous.

In the latest 'Town Hall' meeting the spokesman said ' attendees subject to change' - had a call along these lines '....run out of tyres for unique aircraft and hard to source spares...' so maybe that's the reason

So one on the wish list comes true:

BREAKING: We can confirm the iconic NASA - SOFIA Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy 747SP will be both FLYING AND ON STATIC at the 2022 #AvAirshow. This rare opportunity to see SOFIA up close will help showcase the power of #STEM that makes this open house so ciritical.

Has there ever been a better attended airshow by NASA?

Looks like the website is receiving an update too.

The ICAS site says the F22 Raptor display team will attend - there's nothing on the Edwards or ACC site yet though.

With a bit of luck they'll use the one with the experimental silver camo scheme.

Arrived in California this morning with Huntington Beach tomorrow and Sacramento on Sunday. Two weeks to Edwards big bangs.

Flying out on Sunday... This could be 'THE' airshow of the century... I've never seen a line up/plan quite like this before.

Safe travels everyone... let's go and experience some fine memories. Good luck y'all.
Now officially qualifies as a 'regular' at Famous Dave's - El Centro

Safe travels to everyone heading stateside over the next two weeks. I fly this coming Monday.

With so many UKAR attending, including two staffers, it may be worth a UKAR USA meet up on the Saturday at Edwards ;-)

Tristar changed to flying and DC-8 changed to static on the revamped website. What they give with one hand they take away with the other….

Edit: They’ve swapped them back again to how they were.

Safe travels to everyone going in that direction, it’ll be an experience! We’re flying out on the 10th to spend a few days mooching around Yosemite before heading down to Mojave for Friday evening. Happy to try and meet up if timing and logistics work!

Note that the Glacier Point road is closed so the only way to get there is hike. It's a good hike so well worth the effort. Tunnel view and the valley are all good and I'll be there on on the 10th for an all day hike before heading down to Sequoia NP then on to the sidewinder.

Thanks Verreli, they are patching up parts of Tioga Rd as well causing 30 min delays between White Wolf and Lee Vining, and are trialling a new road priority system around the village so advising not to rely on GPS in cars to navigate. All good fun.

Enjoy your hiking, fingers crossed for decent weather/air quality. All that peace and quiet will be a stark contrast to Edwards AFB!

Small addition to the flying is Chuck Coleman in an extra 300. Apparently he was the guy that did the aero’s familiarisation for the Top Gun Maverick actors.

Big disappointment; that was one of the stars for me. There are still further items not announced. Not long to find out what now. Five days to the Friday STEM show.

Yes, the rumors were TRUE! 📝
The Lockheed Martin Darkstar IS at Edwards and will have its world debut at the 2022 Aerospace Valley Open House, Air Show, & STEM Expo this weekend!
Designed to showcase the future, it was only right local #STEM students received the first look!
The Darkstar will be on static display all weekend long at #AvAirshow.

That's just a list of all the types the base is currently the test location for.

You can now add the T-7 and B-21 to that list.
