F35 Jubilee Flypast

Interesting that none of the F35s pinged on flight radar 24 But on the other hand. Nice surprise to see in formation

Isn’t that rather the point of having a stealth aeroplane? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Neither were the Reds showing up on ADS-B at any point.....nor the Rivet Joint (although it was early on until it formated on the P-8, at which point it stopped showing)
Chinook or Merlin not showing either.

F-35 never seems to use ADSB, even ones at LN etc

I cannot remember the occasion, but I noticed at one point that military stuff sometimes shows up on ADSBexchange when FR24 does not show them. As for formations, I think it is normal for other airframes to switch their transponder off once in formation so that only the leader has an active transponder. Otherwise, the warnings on the ATC system drives the controllers completely nuts.

True military stuff very rarely appears on FR24, a combo of Adsbexchange and 360 radar are better.

RAF F-35B's out of Marham can be seen on ADS-B sometimes, have followed them buzzing around north Norfolk on occasion.

Not seen any of the LN A's on there yet, but then again, you never used to seen any of the LN F-15's on their either up until a year or so ago.

The F35As are on sometimes, usually around LN area, often disappear elsewhere. Could just be because they are at low level and not line of sight to a participating ATC system. None of the public aircraft location systems are omniscient.

Assume they glide better than the Harriers did?
