Duxford Wednesday 17th August:

This morning, Victor XH648 was re-united with her vertical tail (removed in October 2016):

Meanwhile, the Blades Extra 300 (which was damaged at the June Airshow) had the tailplane removed for repair:

Also losing parts is the TFC Fiat CR42, with wings removed to allow airframe access for the engineers:

WACO YMF-5C N45BN was training today. A classic design, this airframe is only 10 years old !

Duxford Friday 19th August:

Work continues on TFC's Fiat CR.42. Removal of the wings allows easier access for completion of airframe and systems, all progressing towards a return to flight. Many thanks to MC for photo opportunity.

That PC-6 is lovely - you do seem to get some good (if somewhat sporadic) French visitors after last month's Twin Otter.

Duxford Tuesday 6th September:

Victor XH648 had her tailplane re-fitted this morning in Airspace. The span is 32ft 8in, just 2in shorter than a Spitfire wingspan.
