Misty's year..

Post by st24 »

..well a year and a bit since I chose st mansion to reside. Some will also notice that they've put a "y" on the end of my name... humans eh
Remember when I used to look like this back in October 2009?
Image

Image

Well now I look like this...
Image

Image

I've been out in the snow...
Image

Image

Had 2 Christmas
Image

Been on me holidays
Image

Image

Image

Supported our skilled super heroes, much to the annoyance of Mr st....
Image

Been on plenty of long walks but my little legs get tired..
Image

I had a funny feeling that made Mr dogs get interested in me and then I had this phantom pregnancy. That purple thing was my baby and I wouldn't let it out of my sight for a week or so and carried it everywhere. After that I ripped it's head off and someone cut me open and took all me ladies giblet bits out. Just as well, motherhoods not for me..
Image

Any way I still love havin me belly tickled (me, not Mrs st)...
Image

So thats me, hope you've not missed me too much. Any way thats made me very tired, especially trying to get it grammatically correct for UKAR.. 'Night..night...night..

Looks like Misty was a pretty active dog when you got her but judging by the last couple of pics nowadays she just sleeps!

I have been thinking about getting a dog myself and now having seen these, I am on the verge of getting one! How cute!!! The dog I'd be going for is a Jack Russell crossed with a Shih-tzu and yes you can probably guess what they're known as

As a bit of advice, is there any benefits of getting a dog or a bitch? Either way it would have "bits" removed but just wondered if there was any other reason to have a preference?

Thanks

Wes

Misty is a Parsons Jack Russell, a longer legged and shaggier coated version of the more familiar ankle biter. Shes a cracking dog, daft as the preverbial brush and always up for mischief. We take her down a local field and someone there has a Jack Russell- Chihuahua cross puppy, very cute though nowhere near as pretty as Misty  We used to have a Shih Tzu many years ago and it was a pretty useless dog- miserable, snappy, hated being stroked or touched in any way but I think we had a dud to be honest, cost an arm and a leg too. Unless you're breeding I don't personally see much difference between bitch or dog, especially if they're being "done" as this takes away much of the sexual traits.

Thanks for all the comments - Misty laps up the attention (pardon the pun) and yes Koen, she does do a lot of snoozing!

A friend has one of the aforementioned Jack crosses and he's short legged, long hair with a golden coat and black nose, very bouncey and energetic. The pup I'd be getting would be from the same parents. I will try to upload a pic if possible (if that's ok?)

Thanks for the later comments folks. I wish I had my camera an hour or so ago, a Misty v Mute Swan confrontation was quite amusing, I'm sure you can guess who ran first! :surrender:

Not my stairs

He's the perfect size for me as I only live in a flat so he would have more than enough room to keep himself happy  just been to the local vets to ask about the cost of vaccinations and neutering :ghost:

I'm tempted to use my Black & Decker to castrate it! Yeah I have been checking out insurance and have been pleasantly surprise as I was expecting it cost a lot more for the amount of cover I would be getting

Sorry for another thread resurrection but it's with a devastatingly heavy heart that I have to report we lost our best pal little Misty last week. After several brain seizures earlier in the year , medication seemed to be working but over the last month or so she wasn't herself at all. Turns out cancer of the liver had taken over and she just gave up; that endless mischief and those twinkling eyes slowly faded away as she slipped from us......
I really can't put into words how much we miss her, what a daily, massive part of our lives she was and how we'll all miss those special cuddles, especially Mrs St. She was a constant positive through many negative times and we owe and remember her for that. Rest easy little mate..

So sorry to hear of your loss,we lost our cat Frosty 8 years ago and still miss him even though his place was taken by JimJam, another stray cat ,console yourselves with the thought that she had 10 happy years with you and she's no longer in any pain or suffering,it may seem strange but I often think that pets have a great life with us Humans ( nice Humans that is ) no worries about mortgages/jobs/money etc ,food on demand ,usually the most comfortable and warmest beds ( ours ) that they have no views on anything ,politics etc ,but mostly ,unlike us they have no idea of what awaits them .It sounds as though Misty had a great life with caring and loving owners ,would that we could all say the same !
Don't know about those jets ,they spoil a very nice place
