Evening all,
After being inspired by Nigel's (Metman) amazing set of pictures from the SDR back along, and with the Old Warden show being cancelled, I took advantage of the Jubilee Gala event being held on the railway and shots some trains instead. Nigel was very kind to recommend the locations he used to me, which made for an enjoyable days shooting, despite the largely overcast conditions.

I also took the opportunity to have a play around shooting some of the stunning scenery alongside the River Dart in between waiting for the trains.

That first one is a real corker
Re: South Devon Railway- Jubilee Gala Weekend
Excellent set Shaun . You were right - you did get some great shots despite the lack of sun. Enjoying the variety of angles and treatments. Like them all but especially No. 1 and low angles No. 16 and No.17.

Nice set - but that first one is great
Re: South Devon Railway- Jubilee Gala Weekend
Cheers guys
Nigel, that spot for the low angles was excellent. I tried out various different points along the road, between the barrier and the small field opposite the lay by. All good, though the grass was a bit tall in places that would have also been pretty good. Didn't bother with the bridge in the end, the road is busy and we had my young niece with us, so didn't want to mess about trying to find the spot. Maybe next time...
Thanks again,
Shaun
