Brilliant set. I've been birding for 30 years and never had views of a Jack Snipe as good as that. How close were you?

Thanks for comments.The Jack Snipe was about 3ft away Trevor,but they do hide themselves very well in the mud and grass and make themselves very difficult to spot.When you eventually find them . . . magical.One thing I did learn through observation is that they bob up and down as they walk https://www.flickr.com/photos/46208855@ ... ateposted/

Superb Colin, Marsh Harrier is top notch, lovely Shortie shots and a nice Jack Snipe, a lack of them this winter with the milder conditions.
