Flying Scotsman and Union of South Africa

Post by Avionics6 »

Gresley A4 Pacific Union of South Africa joined A3 Flying Scotsman at Didcot for the Bank Holiday weekend, and on Monday evening I attended one of the TLE organised charters that made the best of the opportunities to capture the two together for what will likely be the last time; UoSA being taken out of traffic (for good) at the end of next year.
A small selection of images from the evening follow:

It was a good... if quite long, evening by the end of it, with work the following day; but at least I had a quiet drive home.

Lovely pictures, well done, reminds me of the pictures of David Shepherd at Nine Elms.

The second picture would make a terrific jig-saw.

Thanks for posting them.

Thank you all for your kind comments; I know many aren't too keen on my editing style, which I've applied to the most of these (but not always to all), but I do try to make the most, or more of, specific images.
Cheers

Lovely images.

Would have loved to have seen the Scotsman but couldn't justify the cost to get into the Railway Centre.

Your editing style is certainly unique and quite cool. Imagine if everyone took the same pictures and edited them in the exact same style, things would get boring quite quickly.

Very nice indeed, a little tweak on the frameing on a few of those will really make them stand out.
