I was listening to the podcast where Air Ops was interviewed and it was interesting to learn how crews actually sometimes specify their preference for static placement up around the tower area when they confirm attendance, so they don't feel on the periphery of the show. So sometimes star items placed where they are isn't entirely a choice the show organisers have made it seems...

Just got an email saying my booking has been cancelled due to them not having a viable business any more. Pity for them and annoying for me as have to find somewhere else now! Won't be cheap either. Had a lovely place booked in Cricklade.

Looking forward to the show, still. Looks fantastic.

35-730 C-130J-30 „Argo 104“
45-747 C-130J-30 „Argo 105“
55-036 C-130H-30 „Argo 106“

But what are they carrying as they can't be carrying the T-50 Golden Eagles inside....and why so early?

Bringing the kit to assemble the aircraft when they do arrive, perhaps?

I understand the T-50s will be brought inside three Korean Air Cargo 747s, but not sure into where, MAN, BZZ, FFD or FBO?

Regarding India who are on the ongoing discussions list, (Not including 2008 with Sarang as no one got to see it) I can't believe it's been 15 years since they last attended! I would've said 4/5 years. What could they realistically send? A static C-17? or if theres a deployment a static Tejas?

Deluded brain thinks 'yeah of course they're going to send a Flanker and Jag for the flying'.

I think Peter has already confirmed that RoKAF have no plans to send one to the show in any capacity.

But they are here for RIAT and Farnborough! You would think they would need one C-130 at RIAT to bring in all their freebees and PR stuff with tent!!!

Do we know who the commentator for this years RIAT is going to be, as I hope it is Ben Dunnell?

Does Totterdown accept day-visitors on the Thursday?

Travelling down in the morning and thought it might be a chance to see some practice displays later on, after the arrivals start to finish up.

Yes, they offer both park and view and walking up to Totterdown from Wednesday onwards. A good vantage point for both arrivals and practise displays.
