A beautiful species to have in your local park, Ian. The Kingfisher is the jewel of the bush. My wife and I live adjacent to a 50-acre bushland park and often see a pair of Kookaburras. Not as colourful as your KF but always a treat to see.

Another beautiful set. You have recorded some super detail in all three bird images that, for some reason, is lost in the upload to this site. Nice work!

Thank you all for the comments. not much variety in the garden at the moment just the wagtails that keep arguing who`s garden it is.

where i live is a new town with man made lakes. this Kingfisher was first seen around September 2020 im no expert but this is a young female looks like form a brood early last year ? she sill has some brown on the feet and the white tip on the beak. we never get clear shots of her as long as there is some cover she will perch up quite close.

Two excellent sets, Ian. I love the Robin in full song. You appear to have been quite close to most of your subjects.

The Blackbird, an introduced species here in Oz, is one species that I have not seen in our neighbourhood for about five years. Not complaining; they'd regularly dig up my tomato and other vegetable seedlings whilst looking for worms.
Cheers,
