You certainly had a fruitful few days! I really like the energy in the hard turning F-15E (16)!

super set Steve, 71 passes! I hope I'm half as lucky as you when I go there in September.

A question please (and for Peter as he was there as well) - how hard is the walk / trek / climb to the top shelf please? I've been told it's pretty hard and with me and my friend both at 70 years old I wonder if it might be pushing our luck a bit to try getting to the top.
Is the lower shelf a good compromise or does it have to be the top for worthwhile shots.

We will be doing CAD East some days which I know is easier going up the track (especially if we drive although we are renting Stabal cottage at the farm at the bottom end of the track so it's only a mile or so to walk up and not as steep) but would like to try the Bwlch at least once during the week.

Andy,

I am 73 reasonably fit and even with a heavy camera bag I can get to the top shelf in 20 minutes. It.s not terribly steep ( unlike the climb to Bluebell) just a steady uphill climb. Much better to be on the top shelf for any fast jets
Just take your time and enjoy

Thanks Peter, that's reassuring. I'm arriving Saturday evening so will spend part of Sunday having a look at the various locations without a full load of equipment to see how I get on.
I had heard that Bluebell is by far the steepest
Thanks again

Bluebell makes top shelf look like a walk to the shops!

Take poles and watch your footing on the rocks and youll be golden !

Thank you all very much, I'm still going through the 2500 shot's that I took!! I think my next visit is likely going to be an anti climax, compared to last weeks visit!!
