Underneath my gruff exterior lies an even gruffer interior...
Re: Duxford Diary 2022
Another round of terrific photos, thank you! Some of those Spitfire ones in particular are real gems.

Any photos of the Sea Fury that was operating? First time I’ve seen it flying - albeit from a distance, this year!
Re: Duxford Diary 2022
A fine image of the Sea Fury, is the Twin Otter still there?

Great update. Thanks for sharing.
I wonder what the Bahrain Royal Flight AW-139 was doing there?

Re: Duxford Diary 2022
A number of Stansted based helicopters use Duxford for training and engineering test flights, but proximity to Newmarket horse racing and training means the occasional fuel stop, particularly at weekends when Cambridge operating hours are reduced.

Duxford Monday 13th June:
LN-MIG is a familiar visitor to Duxford, previously as N104CJ in Russian markings. The new scheme represents Mig 15bis 2057 ex North Korean Air Force which defected to South Korea on 21st September 1953. After shipping to the USA for test, it went to the National Museum of the USAF, where it can still be seen in the original North Korean colours:
A fine display with Vampire FB.52 LN-DHY, still in film marks as 'WA123'
In Airspace today, a reception was held to celebrate 50 years since the first flight of the DAS Concorde G-AXDN. Postponed from the actual 50th Anniversary (17Dec1971) due to Covid, activities included the remarkable nose droop:

Re: Duxford Diary 2022
Ah that explains the markings on the (MiG). They came over this way today and from a distance I couldn’t quite work them out. But seeing them both flying especially the Vampire made my day!
