Blue Angels and F35 scheduled but the Snowbirds have dropped FW from their latest update.

I remember when Fleet Week used to actually have a fleet. One year they even launched F-18s from a carrier (Nimitz IIRC) in the bay and did a couple of bolters.

Oh for a return to the good old days. I'll be there this year and admit to being disappointed the Snowbirds have cancelled for the second year running.

Looks like FW just lost the USAF F35 too so that leaves only the Blue Angels. :frowning2:

One of the coolest moments I saw at a Fleet Week was about 15 years ago. The Sukhoi Su-26 display was just coming to an end, and the next item, the USAF F-16 demo, came into the box and performed a 360 on burner overhead. It was the F-16 demo pilot’s way of saying “Hi Dad!” Russ Piggot was the demo pilot that year, and his father, John Piggott, flew a Sukhoi at East Coast airshows for many years until he retired a few years ago.

Bit of good news for a change. Navy F-35C demo announced.
