At the forum the other week they said the USAF tends to confirm in June, so a little patience may be necessary.
But this is RIAT, and this is UKAR. Patience is no fun at all Iain

We are extremely thankful for the support from the Czech Air Force, sending us a myriad of rarely seen aircraft for display at RIAT 2022! Their Hind & Hip will perform a pairs flying display simulating a combat search and rescue mission, a display never before seen at RIAT. In addition, we're delighted to have a solo display from their W-3 Sokol helicopter, which will be the first time we've welcomed that aircraft type to the Air Tattoo in nearly 20 years.
In addition, the Czech Air Force hope to send examples of their Gripen & ALCA for the flying display at RIAT, however due to their operational tempo and deployment on NATO Air Policing missions, they will not be able to fully confirm the attendance of these assets until closer to the event, so we will not be including them on our participating aircraft list for now.
We're pleased to welcome the Estonian Air Force back to Fairford, with a new aircraft type: the M28 Skytruck. This aircraft replaced the venerabe Antonov An-2 which we have seen at Fairford in previous years.
Finally, more additions to the static aircraft displays from civilian operators, with a Spitfire in USAAF markings, unique Trago Mills training aircraft and newly repainted Piaggio P.166!

Hind, holy moly, and the W-3 too! Let’s hope the Gripen and ALCA’s can make it too.

The Czech helicopters in particular are outstanding pulls. 👏🏻👏🏻

Edit - and rare, not long until the Hind/Hip are replaced with the Huey/Viper.

Brazil and Romania added to ongoing list also.

I'm no great Helicopter fan, but this will be very cool. What an excellent update :ok_hand_tone3:

Outstanding support this year! Superb additions.

It looks as if the Air Arms have missed RIAT just as much as we have…

It may well be the fact we haven’t had a show for 2 years now, but this year’s buildup really does feel like RIAT has been revitalised - and in a very good way too.

Bravo.

Roll on July.

Hear, hear. Wary of ascribing too much praise unduly (that might be explained by a two year thirst) but it’s beginning to feel to me like there’s a quiet energy building behind this show.

Estonian Skytruck - wearer of one of the largest national flags ever seen on a type. Neat little thing though.

I remember seeing this display at Biggin Hill in 2017 and it was fantastic. What a great addition. Well done DBH!

The Czech W-3 Sokol isn't just a grey/green drab either! Just seen a video of it at Sanicole. Looks a very tidy/colourful display!

An altogether thrilling update for those choppers alone. Chapeau to DBH and to the Czech AF for this extravaganza of rotary splendour.

The Estonian M28 too :)

It's starting to feel a bit like RIAT.
Now officially qualifies as a 'regular' at Famous Dave's - El Centro

Unless a fleet-wide repaint, I think they have both, so we’ll have to see what turns up.

(I like the Czech camo 🙈)

The repainted Piaggio looks gorgeous, too! Better than it’s previous colours, imo.

The P166 has been repainted since its last RIAT visit and looks really smart now. Looking forward to shooting that exiting off Bravo.

I’ll miss the Estonian An-2. Always fascinated me seeing one in operational military service appearing at the show.

Shame they can’t bring their tidy L-39 solo across too!

Looking like I'm going to have to be giving RIAT a visit this year, as I'm more of a warbirds fan but some of these additions just scream out to go.
I'm wondering if this going to be a show of force by the NATO countries

That did cross my mind, but in the midst of a war I find it unlikely Russia will take notice of an airshow that's happening in the UK? (what do I know)

If 10 B-52's confirm for static, we'll know that to be the case

Got to say it's turning into a cracker, the only worry I have is with potentially so many more items that could confirm, those who are only able to do one day might end up missing out.
