Very nice work everyone. I really like the layout. Wish I could stick around a little longer for more of a look. But I myself am right smack dab in the middle of a move between apartments today.

I would just like to take this moment to thank Pete, DanB, Nick and Paul for their tireless sterling work in getting the new site and board up and running. You would not believe how much work has gone on behind the scenes to make it happen. The new site and new board will truly take UKAR to the next level it deserves and it would not have happened without all their work. Respect!

We've had a small discussion here about this, something that 1024x768 screen resolution users are going to have to put up with for the moment, until we find a solution. :)

Just posted in Golden Oldies and they are 800 wide and still got cut off.

We know. Like Pete said, it's something we've still got to work on.

It only happens if you're running a screen res of 1024 x 768.

Site looks quality, I have 1 suggestion, it doesn't say a topic heading like the old site, e.g A heading of Blades display info under avaiation waffle was on the front page of the old website, where as on the new website it just states aviation waffle and who posted last on the topic.

I hope you understand.

The forum looks and operates quite well at the moment, but what will it work like when we get say 400 members online at any one time?
After last weeks post about smilies I was expecting a few new, or different smilies to appear, but there has been no change as yet.
Overall I like it, it is a big improvement, but also a shame that some of the old threads could not be transferred over, it would have given some continuity!
Well done Gents, the hard work has im sure been worth it.

Dunk - I'll add them to the list of suggestions. I'm not sure about the second one though - I think that's just how the forum works and we're stuck with it.

Trevor - new smileys will be added when Paul gets around to it. There's been an awful lot to do, and still is. The forums never had a problem coping with traffic, it was the server loading. We'll find out when we get hundreds of people online again, but unless you're volunteering stump up the extra £60 a month it'll take to double our capacity, you'll just have to live with the inconvenience. We've been over the 'transferring the old database stuff' before too, numerous times.

Looks like we will be living with it then, lets hope the server copes! Once again, Well Done Gents!
