Yeah I picked up Nevada too, quite fancy doing a low level knife edge pass down the Las Vegas strip!

Tell me about it! I didn't have any of the modules and with so many interesting aircraft to choose from, the potential to run up an eye watering bill even with the sale prices was all too easy!

That sale has allowed (forced) me to complete the set (please don't add that up, I'm trying not to think about it). Having received a Warthog HOTAS for Xmas, I've got a lot of flying to get done :joystick:

I genuinely didn't think the Warthog would be as good as it is, it makes such a difference. It has improved my virtual flying from rubbish to barely competent.

The Warthog is incredible. I used to have one of the plasticy ones and I don't think I could go back to something like that now. It's a huge change, and it feels just fantastic. It's like headtracking, or rudder pedals. You've no idea how much of a quantum step it is until you have it, and you literally can't play without it once you do.

In fact, I'm looking at some of the VKB/virpil sticks and throttles. Not taht I'll be buying any in a hurry mind! But they don't have look utterly incredible.

I just got an EDTracker. Your right about how it changes the game.

Did you see Thrustmaster are apparently going to release an F-18 grip. Not sure if this will be as a new joystick or an add on for the Warthog.

The newly announced Virpil WarBRD looks interesting as it would allow you to replace the Warthog joystick gimble and still use the stick.

If you think the warthog, pedals and trackir are great - add a VR headset, the immersion factor is phenomenal. Highly recommended - especially flying the Huey across the Nevada desert or down the Vegas strip....

Another tip is to get an extension to the warthog stick - its adds even more precision to your flying.

Yeah I've got a centre mount and 6cm extension for the Warthog, it's incredible for rotary wing. VR is great, but the resolution is too low for anything with displays and HUDs to be usable. I'm waiting for gen 2 before picking anything up.
