RIAT is one of only two international shows they’re displaying this year. Very fortunate and grateful to have them attend (if/once confirmed), as they’re the type of display that makes you go ‘right i’m putting my camera down for this, i’m going to just enjoy it’.

Great to see them with a RIAT listing, one of the best displays there is.

Speaking of the Frecce Tricolori, when are they due to change to the Aermacchi M-345? It was due around 2017 but they are still flying the 339.

Hoping they still have the special tails this year, they look great.

Let see if they bring a second aircraft like a tornado, typhoon or their trainer jet, like the usually do

Assuming the pending airshow is Farnborough, there must have been a mistake removing RIAT off their schedule.

possible that DBH have asked for them to take it off the public schedule to avoid confusion?

Most likely ^

It's strange that the A-10 and F-35 Heritage flight RIAT was on both calendars to begin with. Then removed, then on the updated one posted above gives a hint of the F-35 being at Farnborough too, but no mention of the A-10 at all (most likely no need for it to be at Farnborough would assume).

Usually in the past: RIAT on ACC calendar - Confirmed by DBH not so long after. Guess it's just a case of we'll just have to wait and see. Wheels on tarmac and all that 🙂

My guess is the USAF 75th will be the centre-piece of the show and will be announced in one release. It's unlikely to affect ticket sales so no rush. Details of participants and format may be ongoing for a while yet.

Orrrrrrr... maybe neither the A-10 nor F-35 are coming to RIAT?

Indeed. It could just be as simple as they can’t make it anymore. Idk, maybe cost of fuel or something (which seems to be keenly felt in the US) or operational commitments or whatever.

Rumour is a brace of A-10s are due in Europe soon. If one or two could conveniently “break” for a few months… 😂

They would use An LN F35 , but obviously would need logistics. Cant see costs being an issue on the usaf anniversary.

Looks like the A-10 display a/c is on it's way over (with 11 spares just in case!)

Just the two or should that be a drove of A-10s?

Unfortunately they all seem to be squadron machines, not that I'm ever disappointed by an A-10 detachment. This years display jet has a rather nice three tone camo scheme.

How strange that an operational deployment doesn't include a display airframe. Strange.

Quite a few units have special schemes so it wasn't beyond the realms of possibility that a non-grey airframe was deployed. The last A-10 deployment in 2018 included a special for example. Alas, that's not the case this time.

If a listing has had an event removed - rather than assume its some sort of typo - it usually means what it says. Maybe they are coming, maybe they aren't, but right now I'm inclined to take that listing at face value.

Anything announced in due course would be a massive bonus of course.
