I don't mind the RJF, they are relaxing to watch. Not everything can be a fast jet.

Yes and there is that!
Re: RIAT 2022 Discussion Thread
Czech Mi-8 is currently transiting across from South East. South of London at 1400ft.
Does anyone have a rough idea of arrival timings for tomorrow. Will get there around 10.

I like the Falcons and always make an effort to walk down to see what they bring in static. People take them for granted, few small air forces have been as dedicated to their support of RIAT as the Jordanians. Not to mention the charitable aspect of their support.captainfurious wrote: ↑Wed 13 Jul 2022, 3:03 pmEveryone can breathe a sigh of relief. The Royal Jordanians have arrived.

Where has this come from?
Does anyone have any info on the SK.60s? I overheard on someone's scanner that Gripens were delayed until 1540 tomorrow but haven't heard a word about the SK.60S.
Re: RIAT 2022 Discussion Thread
Agree . Always enjoy their display. Every year they get grief but are some of the longest show supporters. At least it’s not the wing walkers!!
Re: RIAT 2022 Discussion Thread
Nowhere, presumably. Unless everything that hasn't arrived by lunchtime on Wednesday is now assumed to not be coming

For a small helicopter the Sokol puts on quite a impressive display!

The Navy P8 isn't on today's arrival list. Not the printed ones anyway
Re: RIAT 2022 Discussion Thread
If anyone didn't realise, they are nothing to do with the Jordanian AFMeep wrote: ↑Wed 13 Jul 2022, 4:00 pmI like the Falcons and always make an effort to walk down to see what they bring in static. The Mi-24 Hind is with the Mi-8. Now south of Reading. Below 900ft

The pilots are serving RJAF personnel IIRCTheMaster wrote: ↑Wed 13 Jul 2022, 4:19 pmIf anyone didn't realise, they are nothing to do with the Jordanian AFMeep wrote: ↑Wed 13 Jul 2022, 4:00 pmI like the Falcons and always make an effort to walk down to see what they bring in static. Bit of a slow day today but my god the Tornado arrival made up for it. One of the RIAT 2022 Highlights without a doubt.
Re: RIAT 2022 Discussion Thread
Yes they are, the pilots are Jordanian Air Force pilots. Whilst the aircraft themselves are not RJAF air force aircraft its incorrect to say they are nothing to with the RJAF, without it they would have no pilots.TheMaster wrote: ↑Wed 13 Jul 2022, 4:19 pmIf anyone didn't realise, they are nothing to do with the Jordanian AFMeep wrote: ↑Wed 13 Jul 2022, 4:00 pmI like the Falcons and always make an effort to walk down to see what they bring in static. Furthermore it doesn't detract from the point in the slightest. Simply reword it from "few small air forces" to "few small countries" if it makes you feel better, the point is the same.

Why are two (what could be considered star items) at the beginning of each show day?
