RAF Pilot colour?

Which shade of green would be best to paint an RAF Fast Jet Pilot in a model kit?

It depends on the period and the location, the older suits (say 70s/80s) were quite a brownish green whereas the latest ones are closer to the American flightsuit colour: but desert sand versions have also been in vogue for various deployments. Latest accoutrements have versions that feature camouflage like the Army's MTP, don't fancy painting that.....

I believe scarlet works for a certain unit (only after PDA of course).

At least for all this modern stuff there should be plenty of colour photo references.

If it helps, it's an RAF Typhoon Kit?

I'd think you're safe with the modern shade then. I'm no paint chip expert but it can't be too far from the WWII RAF aircraft interior green (stands by to be shot down in flames....)

No worries I'll give that a go, cheers FarnboroJohn. (In fact I'd try anything - cheers)………….

I’ve just discovered the kit doesn’t have any pilot figures! I now apologise as I posted this before opening the box thinking there were pilots.

It’s the miniature 1:144 Revell Two Seat Eurofighter Typhoon Kit.

Blimey, that sounds a bit fiddly - no wonder pilots aren't included. Good luck!
