Airfix 1/48 Canberra's B (1) 8 & PR 9

Post by ianf »

My latest two finished. I mentioned in my Huskie build, I enjoyed that, more than these kits. They came out when Airfix was re jigging itself and lots of errors occurred. These suffered poor fit, vague un helpful instructions, Which on the PR 9 was also wrong in places. The cockpits had poor location pointers. The worse part was the decals With the colours all wrong (yellows came out a pale orange) Still they are at least built.

One thing they are big kits and do need 100 gram ballast in a tight space aft of the nose.

Another major problem with the PR 9, was the decal numbers did not match the instruction ones! Luckily I have good walk round type pictures of 135 so could figure out were the decals went.
