Hasegawa 1/72 Polikarpov I-16

Post by Seamus »

Afternoon all,

A decal issue has stalled my Century Series, so I've used that time to squeeze this little Hasegawa Polikarpov I-16 in. The smallest addition to the display cabinet, it was naturally a straightforward build. Finished completely OOB using Hataka Orange Line as eve; the airbrush got away from me a bit when spraying the exhaust stains, so that, combined with the out of register decals means this is not my best work...

Hope it was of interest, comments welcomed

The register of the decals is an annoyance, but on the whole it's a nice build. I actually like the exhaust staining, gives it a frontline look.

I'd say your exhaust staining, particularly underneath, is pretty much spot on:

Nice build of a characterful aeroplane.
