A busy month

Post by ianf »

The cold weather and lock down has some upsides. I had a productive month. finishing 5 models and repairing some of my models on shelves (aerials pitot's etc ) I've even made progress on the Enterprise I have shown in the past.
The models are a back log build of the Apollo service and command module plus the lunar Module. Airfix's 1/48 AH-7 Lynx, Airfix's Fairy Fulmar and Gnat.

I am having problems with my editing suite so they look wonky they aren't.

Easy to build but the Gnat was fiddly simply because of how small it is!

My next main table builds are already started and my back log kit has all its parts found so I can repair and finish it.

Nice work Ian, how did you do the gold foil on the lunar module? Very effective!

Thanks john. the foil was a chocolate bar wrapper, I was "forced" to buy and eat. The kit is a very old one and had plated shiny coating on it. which meant super glue was used on the assembly. . So it was simple I used super glue.

I would have done the legs etc too, but realised the kit is pre Apollo. As the shape is more for the mock ups than the actual craft.

Nice improvisation. Bad luck on having to eat chocolate for your art!
